Scholastic Development Committee Met Today

BACE's Scholarstic Development Committee met today and came up with a few plans/projects that we are working on --- no doubt you will hear about all of them. However, I'm writing this email specifically regarding two things.

First, i found a locutorio that prints at 30 centavos a page, which isn't amazingly cheap, but a lot better than 50 centavos. Patrick thought it might be helpful to post the address on the blog, as well as email the address out to BACE members. The locutorio is located on the corner of Billinghurst and Peña, and as far as i can tell is called "INTERNET." with a blue and orange sign.

Second, we decided that a printer (or a few printers) would be useful to the BACE students, and would like to put out a plea for used printers among BACE members. Just as Lisa is having her parents bring down a printer they're not using in December, it would be nice to get the word out to all students to ask their visiting friends and relatives to ask around and bring down an available printer to donate to the program if they know of one. We would have a system of paying for ink, etc, and hope that if there are more printers, we will have to worry less about wear and tear.
